Sculpture and Installation
Eat Me Out
This installation is set up for an intimate meal for two. It is composed of a tablecloth, two plates, two bowls, two cups, a vase, and a candlestick holder. The design on the tablecloth is a silkscreen print and the items on the table are collaged with monoprints.
Once Upon A Time
This piece is a combination of literature, creative writing, painting, drawing, and collaged found imagery/objects (the print that is the base of the assembled collage is The Broken Flowerpot by Jan Verhas). The writing component of this piece is composed of a culmination of details and quotes from eight different classic fairytales. They were then edited to express two differing perspectives on the feelings of how children should be presented with information.
Balls of Steel
The base of the structure is a large umbrella frame with spray painted beachballs attached with wire ties. This piece is inspired by Yayoi Kusama. Drawing influence from “Narcissus Garden”, “Traveling Life”, and “Dots Infinity NOWH”.
Impiety: The Confessional
A bed sheet and curtain hang from a clothes line adorned with a poem on the concept of impiety, images of undergarments, and anonymous notes collected from boxes with the prompt “what is something you have done that could be considered bad or wrong?”
